Who We Are
KIA Sisters Netball Club is a Malawian women's netball team based in Lumbadzi, Lilongwe, competing in the FDH Premier Netball League. The club has steadily developed into a competitive side, built on discipline, teamwork, and a clear ambition to grow within Malawi's elite netball structure.
The team was established on 10th April 2025 under the name KIA Queens and immediately made its mark in the Mpico Dowa Netball League. In their debut season, KIA Queens delivered an outstanding performance, going unbeaten from start to finish and ultimately being crowned Mpico Dowa Champions. This achievement laid a solid foundation for the club's competitive identity.
On 15 January 2026, the team was rebranded from KIA Queens to KIA Sisters following a sponsorship agreement. This transition came after Kavimwembe Innovations, under the leadership of Moffat Zimba, assumed full responsibility for the team's management and development. The change marked a new era of professionalism, improved structure, and a stronger focus on performance.

Our Journey
Strategic Growth
KIA Sisters' entry into the FDH Premier Netball League was further enhanced following the acquisition and integration of the Atlas Netball Team, a strategic move aimed at boosting squad depth, experience, and overall competitiveness at elite level. This integration has strengthened the club's foundation and accelerated their rise in Malawi netball.
The 2026 season marks KIA Sisters' first appearance in the FDH Premier Netball League, where the team is not only participating but competing with intent and determination. Guided by a winning mentality and a long-term vision, KIA Sisters are committed to establishing themselves as a consistent and respected force in Malawi's elite netball competition.
